Unleash!

Last Saturday night, I finished reading Perry Noble's new book, Unleash!, and it is a great read!!

Everyone goes through periods in our lives when we are stuck in "normalcy."  We get into the routine of living the same old life that we begin to think we can't live the vibrant, exciting life God desires for all of us (John 10:10, Eph. 3:20).  As Pastor Perry writes in Unleash!, God still wants us to live that life today!

Here are just a few reasons why Unleash! is "must read" book:

First, Unleash! shows how your life in Christ is about your position, not your performance.  As Pastor Perry says, "If you are in Christ, you are loved because you are His, not because of anything you've done."  When we understand who we are, and that God loves us based on our position, it frees us up to focus on a growing relationship with a loving God.

Second, in Unleash!, you realize that you are not limited by your past.  Instead, God wants you to let go of the past and embrace your life in Christ.  Perry says, "If you don't let your past die, then it won't let you live."  To live an unleashed life, you have to move past your past.  Unleash! shows you how.

Third, as you read Unleash!, you'll better understand how to overcome obstacles in life.  As Perry writes, "If God has led you to it, then He will lead you through it!"  Living unleashed means we can persevere because God is with us and for us.  Perry adds, "Don't ever give up on the God who's never given up on you!"

Are you ready to live an unleashed life?  You can.  As Perry points out, our lives are just too important to live anything short of unleashed.

God has created us for much more than normalcy.  He created us to live unleashed!!

What a Great Day!!!

Yesterday at NewSpring was one of the best days ever!  1,451 people were baptized at our 7 campuses, and 23 people committed their lives to Christ!!  Here is a picture from the NewSpring Anderson campus of the baptism after the 11:15 am service:

Every number has a name, every name has a story, every story matters to God.

I love my church!!

Our Generous God

Today marks an historic occasion:  my first blog post!  Writing a blog is one of the things I've been thinking around doing for a long time.  But, I never took the time to do it.  That changes today.

The biggest thing going on in my ministry is the introduction of my new book, Our Generous God.  It's about the five gifts every follower of Christ receives through Him:  salvation, adoption, spiritual family, position as heirs, and an inheritance.  Each gift displays God's incredible generosity to us.  He has given us so much in Christ.

Our Generous God is available at Amazon and Barnes and Noble

I hope you enjoy it.
